During this time, we will obtain all necessary approvals from the Home Owner’s Association and the City. Depending on the municipality, this process may take up to 45 days. During this time our team will stake out the pool location and have the owner verify.

2. Excavation

This stage begins the actual construction process. The crew will come in and dig the hole per the markings on the ground. This process can be very dirty, but may only take half a day to complete. Once the crew is finished they will smooth out the entry way and clean the street and driveway if needed.

3. Steel

Rebar or steel is used as the reinforcement in the pool. The steel used in the floor and wall will be 3/8” steel on 8” centers. The top portion of the pool which is the bond beam will be constructed using 4 bars of 1/2” steel.

4. Plumbing Stub Out

During this phase the crew will be on site installing all the necessary plumbing inside the pool to prepare for the gunite installation. The skimmers and main drains will be installed as well as all of the return lines.

5. Gunite

Gunite is a mixture of Portland cement and sand that is applied with pressure to the walls and floor of the pool. We use what is called a 6 sack gunite mix, which consist of 6 parts of cement to 1 part sand. This mixture is what gives the shell its strength and allows us to back it up with a lifetime structural warranty.

6. Tile & Coping
